Initially, when we talk on the phone, we will ask you a few simple questions to see if we can service your Asheville pet sitting needs (zip code, service dates, pet sitting requirements). If we can't service your pet care needs, we will gladly refer you to another Asheville pet sitter or pet care provider.

Our Procedure

  • Set up initial consulatation
    We will set up a time for an initial consultation, a required meeting which should be scheduled at least 48 hours prior to service. It is crucial for your pet(s) to get acclimated to their sitter while you're still home. This allows for a smooth transition, less anxiety, and successful bonding. We will explain our services in detail and discuss your pets' needs, habits, and schedules.

  • Complete paper work
    You will need to complete some paper work so that we have specific and detailed instructions as to how to take the best possible care of your pets while you're away. These details help us implement our goal of mimicking, as closely as possible, the routine you follow with your pets when you're at home. Make a list of questions for us. We will be happy to answer them during the interview or when you call. We will do a walk-through of your home, and will take notes as you show us exactly what you expect us to do, and where everything is located.

  • Provide house keys
    Please make TWO copies of your house key for us to keep on file.

  • Deposit
    A minimum 50% deposit is due at the time of booking in order to hold your scheduled dates.

  • Payment
    Full payment is due on or prior to initial pet sitting visit.

Rates & Services 

It's tough to put a price on peace-of-mind: Our published rates are average service charges.* Any phone quote is an ESTIMATE ONLY. We need to meet with you and your pets to determine the time involved to properly take care of them. Since your pet's plan is customized to your specific needs, your exact rate depends on the time required to responsibly care for your animal companions, not on the number of pets you have. Typically, however, our Asheville pet sitting rates, described below, fit most situations. You will receive a complete summary of all charges at the completion of our consultation.

Initial Consultation

45 minutes approximately - $20 - credited toward initial pet sitting visit

Standard Visit 

Start at $20 per visit (25-30 minutes)

Pet Sitting, Dog Walking, Cat Pet Sitting or Bird Sitting - you tell us what your pet needs are and we'll make it happen!

To ensure overall well-being, which includes good behavior, sleep, weight and longevity, most dogs require 2-3 walks/visits a day. All cats require a minimum of 1 visit per day. We do not do every-other-day visits, since we feel that cats, like other pets, have safety and social issues that require supervision.

Services Include:

  • Feeding and replacing water

  • Exercise, tons of playtime, belly rubs

  • Talking, coo-ing, singing, snorting, squawking, whistling, chirping, clucking

  • Daily pet note/email/text - documenting all your pets' activities

  • Administering oral medications

  • Brushing

  • Treats (if desired)

  • Litter box/waste cleanup and removal

  • Mail pick-up, trash/recycle to and from curb, home security check, watering plants, etc.

Monthly Discounts Available

Overnight Pet Sitting Visits (in-YOUR-home: No Boarding) 

(Please Note: We have full liability insurance - ask to see coverage - to protect your property as well as your pets while you're away!)

Start at $60 - Arrival: 5-6 p.m. Departure: 7-8 a.m. (all times are approximate: if schedule is light, we may spend additional time)

Especially for senior dogs, senior cats, puppies and/or those with separation anxiety who need special care. Ensures stress-free pet care (for you AND your pets) while you're away. Guarantees a minimum of 13 hours in your home.

Service includes: 2 'Standard' Visits PLUS

  • Arrival: All of the services you see in the 'Standard Visit' above

  • Departure: All of the services you see in the 'Standard Visit' above

  • Additionally, your pet(s) and I have several hours both morning and evening to talk, cuddle, and play while we prepare meals, do chores, and watch a little TV. This time together gives your pets the extra comfort and sense of security they have when you are at home with them.

Express Visit 

Start at $12 - approximtely 10 minutes

Potty Break/Quick Walk - for senior dogs and puppies, who may need additional breaks during the day.

Downtown Asheville, North Asheville and Woodfin ONLY

Pet Hotel/Bed & Breakfast Pet Sitting 

*$20/hour - 3 hour minimum

Asheville Visitors, Out-of-Town Vacationers/Relocators

Restrictions:

  • Minimum of 24 hour notice required *

  • Asheville Pet Hotel or B & B must be within 5 miles of downtown.
